How many hours per day does the program take?
Our goal is to teach you information and provide you with the tools, knowledge, and guidance to help your child thrive. Part of that is helping you understand how to prioritize what to spend your valuable time and effort on based on your goals and your child’s needs. Parents implement as much or as little of our recommendations as they can based on their unique circumstances. In both the Parent Training Course and in all our more intensive service offerings – should you choose to partner with us – we will work with you to balance the needs of your child and the most effective things to work on in the present moment.
How long will it take to heal my child? How many appointments will I have to come to?
While that is impossible to answer, with few exceptions, every injury to the brain is capable of healing. No matter how mild or profound, we have rarely run across a brain injury that couldn’t be improved or completely healed given enough time, the correct approach, and dedicated effort. As a parent, we know you will continue to be relentless in the pursuit of creating a productive and satisfying life for your child. We are here to help you do so.
About the Parent Training Course

How will the Parent Training Course help with my child’s specific diagnosis?
Impaired brain function is at the root of many delays in development. To help your child, you need to understand the way a child’s brain develops, how brain plasticity works, and how nutrition underpins optimal brain function. You also need practical, hands-on ways to measure and promote your child’s development.
In the Parent Training Course, we address each of the above areas in detail. Most importantly,
- You will learn how to use our proprietary evaluation tool to assess how your child’s brain is developing and find out which neurological pathways and physiological systems need the most support.
- You will also learn how to build a basic but effective set of exercises and a nutritional protocol that will promote your child’s brain growth and maturation.
In particular,
- Learning Disabilities: Lesson 8 covers learning and reading, from early development up to high school age. In addition, Lesson 9 covers using mobility for children struggling with learning. Finally, Lesson 6 covers respiration, nutrition, and the fundamentals of healthy living. These often contribute to delays in development and are critical to supporting the developing brain and optimizing brain growth and maturation.
- Social-emotional disorders and Behavioral Issues: Lesson 8 covers social-emotional development and includes proactive strategies for dealing with challenging behavior. In addition, Lesson 9 covers using mobility for children struggling with social-emotional or behavioral issues. Finally, Lesson 6 covers respiration, nutrition, and the fundamentals of healthy living. These often contribute to delays in development and are critical to supporting the developing brain and optimizing brain growth and maturation.
- Speech & Language or Communication Delays: Lesson 8 covers the critical elements of the early development of language and communication. In addition, Lesson 9 covers using mobility for children struggling with expressive or receptive language delays. Finally, Lesson 6 covers respiration, nutrition, and the fundamentals of healthy living. - Our model is different from traditional therapies and services in many ways, but a big one is that rather than separating all costs out into multiple therapies, medications, and appointments with specialists from different places, we combine everything your child and family needs into one service, then provide you with as much hands-on support as you need over the next 6 months to be successful and achieve your goals.
- The cost of an appointment and 6 months of support can be financed in a few different ways depending on your location or insurance situation.

Does insurance cover any costs of the appointment?
It depends on your specific location, local policies, and insurance situation, but often, families are able to apply for reimbursement for some or all of the cost of an appointment with the Family Hope Center’s interdisciplinary team of specialists.
Please understand that, depending on your combination of insurance company, contract, and local policy, your insurance or social benefits may not cover all of the described services, or they may adjust the rate charged to what they believe is the usual and customary charge for the services as described.
For that reason, we cannot “accept assignment” (i.e., accept an insurance card as a guarantee of reimbursement).
However, we do provide families with resources and as much information as possible to support your submission for reimbursement to your insurance company.
It has been our experience, that a combination of a proper knowledge of the services rendered for your child and appropriate documentation will help you make a strong case for the reimbursement you are entitled to. In all cases, we will continue to strive to assist your family in acquiring the necessary resources to meet your goals for your child’s optimal developmental growth and independence.
Do you have any codes I can send to my insurance company to see if they will cover the appointment?
We can provide you with a full breakdown of each CPT code and a description of the corresponding services.
About The Family Hope Center

What is the Family Hope Center?
We are an international organization for the development of all children and specialize in helping parents and families of children with injuries to their brain. These injuries may manifest themselves as labels many people refer to as “autism” or “ADD’, or “Dyslexia”, and so on. We also help families with adults struggling with stroke, ADHD, Autism, seizures, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.
How does the Family Hope Center Program work?
We begin by teaching you through our Parent Training Course about the development of a child’s brain, what occurred to bring about the difficulties your child is experiencing, and what can be done to begin reversing the effects of the injury. Many parents find that what they learned to do in the course they were able to implement at home with their child with great success. Click here for a course agenda.
For families who wish to have additional support, we provide a personal appointment virtually or at our clinic in Norristown, PA. Here we start by having your child carefully evaluated by our clinical team. We then develop a customized therapeutic program to specifically address your child’s situation and teach you step-by-step on how to carry out the program with your child at home.
We follow your appointment here in Philadelphia /Mexico / Europe with ongoing unlimited support (emails, telephone and video) where you will provide updates of your child’s progress that will be reviewed by our clinical team and if needed, provide specific program modifications to keep your child’s progress moving forward.

How can you help my child?
We have found that by teaching parents how to recognize and understand their child’s abilities and behaviors, they can pinpoint the affected areas in the brain. Once these areas are identified, parents and helpers stimulate those affected areas to promote and improve their child’s function, and in most cases, make significant progress in restoring them to a level of wellness that was not previously possible.
How is the Family Hope Center different from other programs?
We go to the source – the brain, where the symptoms often originate – and treat the brain first. We do not focus our attention on the symptoms. When we successfully treat the affected areas of the brain, many of the symptoms begin to disappear. In other words, we go from the inside/out. The conventional approach often treats the symptoms as the problem, rather than the result of the problem. The conventional approach thus relies on medications, surgery and adaptive programs designed to help the child adjust and cope. This approach is from the outside/in.
Questions About The Parent Training Course
Accordion 0
Why do I have to attend the Parent Training Course before I get an appointment for my child’s evaluation?
We need to teach you the concepts behind our approach and establish the rationale behind the treatments we propose. We also think it’s important for you to know how a child’s brain grows and develops so that you can understand where your child’s difficulties originate. As you process this information you will better understand how the specially designed program is calibrated based on the assessment of your child’s need to improve their function in every area.
Do we both have to attend at the same time?
We strongly encourage both parents to follow the course at the same time, as we find that mutual experience allows both parents to absorb much more information.

People around me are skeptical. Do you have any ideas?
Skepticism is natural and healthy – providing it does not prevent your ability to observe and evaluate new information in a neutral way. Many are skeptical that the brain can significantly improve with therapy as previous experiences have not proved effective. We recommend you begin by sharing the Intro to the Parent Training Course “Helping Your Child with Special Needs” and viewing the stories from the parents – which are free on our website.
