Carol Newell
Carol Newell is the co-founder and director of the Family Hope Center and the co-author of Healing Your Child’ Brain. Her clinical experience and expertise are in early child development, especially in the areas of learning, communication, sensory, and social-emotional development. In the Parent Training Course, among other topics, she teaches parents how to create effective and individualized education plans for their children based on their developmental abilities and needs, how to develop their sensory abilities, and how to support healthy social-emotional development – including dealing with challenging behavior. Kristin Reihman, MD, is the medical director of the Family Hope Center and author of the book Life After Lyme. She is board-certified in both Integrative and Family Medicine and specializes in nutritional interventions to optimize brain and physiological health as well as treat chronic, debilitating conditions such as Lyme disease, allergies, or complex metabolic issues. In the Parent Training Course, among other topics, she teaches parents about the connection between the gut and the brain, the basic principles of healthy, anti-inflammatory diets, and how to use nutrition to support brain health and development.
